How strip curtains work
The overlap between strips decides how well a curtain seals. Wider overlap seals better.
Overlap
Full overlap gives the best seal. Partial overlap, like 1/2 or 2/3, is lighter and easier to walk through.
Clear vinyl
Clear strips keep doorways visible, so people on both sides can see each other. For arc glare around the weld itself, pair them with tinted welding screens.
Strip width
8 inch strips work for smaller doorways and pass-throughs. 12 inch strips suit larger openings and dock doors.
Material on the roll
Buy strip material by the roll to build or repair curtains of any size.

Screens are freestanding and portable, great for moving between stations and for blocking arc glare. Curtains and strip doors hang from a track or mount and work best as a semi-permanent wall or doorway.
Many shops use both: strip doors at the weld bay entrance and portable screens around individual stations.
