Insulated & Winter Gloves
Cold hands make for slow, clumsy work. These gloves add fleece, foam, thermal knit or insulating liners to leather and synthetic shells, so you stay warm on winter jobsites, in cold shops and on early starts.
Buying guide
Staying warm without losing grip
Warmth always costs a little feel. These details help you find the right balance.
Liner type
Fleece is soft and warm. Foam adds warmth and padding. Thermal knit liners stay thinner, so you keep more dexterity.
Shell material
Leather shells block wind and hold up to rough work. Synthetic leather and spandex backs flex more and dry faster.
Cut protection in winter
Some insulated gloves add an ANSI cut rating, so you don't have to choose between warm hands and protection from sharp edges.
Size up a little
Liners take up room. If you're between sizes, the larger one usually fits better and keeps blood flowing to your fingers, which keeps them warmer.
Good to know
Insulated or lined?
On our listings, lined usually means a fabric layer such as cotton or fleece for comfort and some warmth. Insulated means a layer built to hold heat, like foam or thermal fill.
For mild cold, a lined glove is often enough. For long hours outdoors in freezing weather, look for insulated styles.
Warm hands work faster and safer.
FAQ
Winter glove questions
Can I weld in insulated gloves?
Some welding gloves come with insulating liners, mostly for heat protection. Winter work gloves with synthetic shells aren't made for welding and shouldn't be used near an arc.
Are insulated gloves waterproof?
Most aren't fully waterproof. Leather shells resist light moisture. If you work in snow or slush all day, check the listing for water-resistant details.
How do I dry insulated gloves?
Let them air dry at room temperature with the cuffs open. Direct heat can stiffen leather and damage liners.
What size should I get for winter gloves?
Measure your hand and check our size guide. Many people go up half a size from their regular work glove to make room for the liner.
