Buying guide

Picking a general work glove

Most industrial gloves come down to three choices: coating, knit and cut level.

Coating

Sandy nitrile gives grip on oily parts. Double latex is grippy and flexible in dry work. Uncoated cotton is breathable for light handling.

Knit gauge

A 13G knit is thicker and tougher. 15G and 18G knits are thinner and more dexterous for small parts.

Cut level

If you handle sheet metal or sharp parts, choose a glove with an ANSI cut rating. HPPE blends reach high levels without bulk.

Hi-vis options

Hi-vis shells make hands easier to see around moving equipment, which helps with hand signals.

Good to know

Why coated gloves are so popular

A coated knit glove gives you a thin, flexible shell with grip only where you need it, on the palm and fingers. The back stays uncoated, so your hand can breathe.

They're also easy to stock by the dozen, which makes them a common pick for warehouses, assembly lines and maintenance crews.

Grip, feel and protection for the everyday work.

FAQ

Work glove questions

Which coating is best for oily parts?

Sandy or foam nitrile coatings are a common choice for oily or wet handling because the textured surface helps grip.

Are these gloves good for welding?

No. Knit and coated gloves aren't made for welding heat or spatter. Use a leather welding glove near the arc.

Can I buy these by the dozen?

Yes. Many shops buy work gloves in bulk. Reach out through our Bulk Orders page for case quantities.

Do coated gloves come in smaller sizes?

Many styles run from XS or S up to 2XL. Each listing shows its size range.
