Buying guide
Why an FR hoodie matters
A regular hoodie over FR clothing can catch fire and keep burning. An FR hoodie keeps your whole outfit protected.
FR fleece
12 oz FR cotton fleece is warm, soft and flame resistant through the full fabric, not just a coating on top.
Rated layers
These hoodies meet NFPA 2112 and 70E, so they work as part of your FR outfit, not as a weak spot in it.
Reflective options
Hi-vis and reflective styles help you get seen in early mornings, night shifts and roadside work.
Pullover or full-zip
Pullovers are simple and warm. Full-zip styles are easier to vent and take on and off with gloves.
Good to know
Layering for cold weather
When it's cold, build your layers from the inside out with FR or natural fibers. An FR shirt under an FR hoodie gives you warmth and protection.
Avoid polyester or nylon base layers under your FR gear. They can melt in a fire, even when the outer layer doesn't burn.
Warm layers shouldn't be the weak link.

FAQ
FR hoodie questions
Can I weld in an FR hoodie?
FR hoodies resist ignition and stop burning when the flame source is removed. For heavy spatter, add a leather jacket, sleeves or apron over the top.
Are the hoods FR too?
Yes. The whole garment, including the hood, is made from FR fabric.
How do I wash an FR hoodie?
Follow the care label. Skip bleach and fabric softener, and wash with similar colors.
Do FR hoodies run small?
FR cotton can shrink a little in the first few washes. If you're between sizes or like to layer underneath, size up.
